Another week has flown by. Sister Hatfield and I spoke in the Calhan ward. We must have done a good enough job because we got invited to dinner that week! 🤣🤣. We have been so blessed to go and teach with the Elders and Sisters. We had an amazing time sharing the gospel with a wonderful couple, come to find out Mickey was a retired pastor of 42 years. We had such a great discussion without arguing just good thought provoking discussion. It was so pleasant to have an uplifting discussion on our Savior, not who’s right or wrong just loving the Savior and what he has blessed us with. Hopefully we will get invited back with the sisters to visit more, they have even reading and marking the Book of Mormon with great questions on Adam and Eve and the garden.

The 4th of July is this week! I am reminded how blessed we are to live in this great country. We had dinner this week with some members as we got to know them, I learned that he had joined the military at the ripe age of 42. He told me that he had always felt he needed to serve his country because of all that he had been blessed with in this free country. What an inspiration, I am so thankful for all those who have served and continue to serve so that we can enjoy the freedoms that we have.

Wednesday evening Sister Hatfield and I had the opportunity to prepare a dinner for the Limon Branch so we could have a party. The young Elders felt that the Branch needed a party to liven them up a bit. Wow what an evening we had! 38 people came from the branch along with a couple of non members. The food was amazing but the camaraderie was even better, I really think the Branch grew together in fellowship. We played games with all the kids and they loved it. I figured out that I could still play soccer or rather that I could be a goalie, I stopped one ball with my face. It didn’t seem to bother my looks🤣🤣. I have a face that only a mother could love.

This week we also got to go to the temple and do Sealings with two other Senior couples, the Crawford’s and the Snyders. I can’t even express how blessed we are to spend time with such great Senior couples. I am so inspired by their examples, I want to be like them when I grow up! The Lord has blessed me and continues to bless Sister Hatfield and I. We love serving and sharing our testimonies . God Lives, He loves us and sent his Son, our Savior,

to save us. The Book of Mormon is true, it teaches me each day I study from it, it’s as if the pages speak to us and prepares us for the Second Coming. We are so blessed to have a living Prophet even Pres. Nelson, he is preparing us for the great return of our Savior.

Amen and Amen

Elder Hatfield
