3 women shared their conversion stories of joining the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

First Lady had lost her father and her brother to death very close together. Lady was very distraught in her own life and was ready to commit suicide. her phone rang and she ignored it. It rang again a second time and on The third ring she answered the phone and said: “You have 30 seconds to tell me what you want!”  A very soft spoken Sister missionary asked if I would like to hear a scripture?”  I told her she had 28 seconds. An hour later we had shared more than one scripture.   She Joined the church.   She was in the temple doing baptisms when she gets a text from her Youngest son, a 21 year old firefighter in Chicago. he had saved a little boy who had  been burned over 85% of his body. He visited the little boy often. Just when he was questioning why God would allow such a thing. Missionaries came to his door and began teaching him the gospel. She didn't know any of this was happening with her son. While in the temple, the text she gets from her son is that he is going to be baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints within the next hour. She tells her son she too had been baptized into this same church. The date of this talk was August 4 which was exactly one year ago she wanted to end her life.

A lady from Mississippi a young single mom of two daughters. She is a Special Education teacher. She was raised a Baptist and raised by her grandparents.

Missionaries (Elders) came to her door and they would give a message on doorstep since they couldn’t be with her alone unless there was another man. They began teaching her and then sister missionaries came and taught her. One time they were teaching about tithing and giving 10 percent of her earnings, but she wasn’t sure how she would do that then they taught her about the word of wisdom and she realized she was spending a good 10 percent of her income on coffee and team.

She had a dream a reminder of a horrible childhood trauma that occured in her life, at the end of the dream was left with the impression that God Loved her individually. Her past didn't dictate who she was or now becoming.

Another lady had  joined the military shortly after highschool and if you went to church at the academy she could get out of cleaning the barracks. Well all the churches available had a one hour block but the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints had a 3 hour block so she said she was Mormon and went. Right after basic training she married and her husband was emphatically Catholic so she had to attend there. They had children together and one of their daughters had to have 16 heart surgeries.

She never felt at home in a church. She had a friend read her the following scripture and this very scripture came to her randomly throughout the years

Alma 37:37

37 Counsel with the Lord in all thy doings, and he will direct thee for good; yea, when thou liest down at night lie down unto the Lord, that he may watch over you in your sleep; and when thou risest in the morning let thy heart be full of thanks unto God; and if ye do these things, ye shall be lifted up at the last day.

Every church she went to she felt as if she wasn’t enough. One time her daughter went to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and when the daughter came home she said to her mom. "I know the church we need to go to. You need to come with us next week. So they started going to church and then began being taught. For the first time attending a church she felt at Home". Throughout many years. During this time she and her husband got a divorce. Her daughter’s heart was not elastic, so she was being prepared for yet another heart surgery. She was given a priesthood blessing. The Heart surgeon came in before 4 weeks before the scheduled surgery and said: "I’ve never seen anything like this in my life! the heart was doing what it needed to do".

"The blessings you receive for acting with faith and confidence are incredible. You will come to know your identity and purpose in a greater and more focused perspective; you will increase your trust in Jesus Christ and His Atonement; and you will know that with the Lord's help you are enough."
